Code of Conduct

Culture first. Clear. Human. Memorable.

Node is for people who want to learn, build, respect each other, and leave the space better than they found it.

Short version

At Node, we are here to learn, build, and respect each other.

Be curious

Ask questions. Try things. Break things safely. Nobody knows everything here.

Be respectful

No bullying. No arrogance. Strong opinions are welcome. Disrespect is not.

Be a builder

Node is for people who want to make things happen, not just watch from the sidelines.

Own your actions

Take responsibility for your work, your words, and your impact on the space.

Simple rule: no dicks, no brats, no passengers.

What Node is

  • A place for curious minds.
  • A place for builders and experimenters.
  • A place for kids and adults who want to learn by doing.
  • A place for people who respect freedom, responsibility, and long-term thinking.

What Node is not

  • A drop-off babysitting service.
  • A flexing contest.
  • A passive hangout space.
  • A place to disrespect people or property.

If someone consistently brings this energy, they will not be invited back.

Expected behaviors

Curiosity over ego

  • Ask questions.
  • Try, fail, and learn.
  • Help others learn.
  • Do not mock beginners or gatekeep.

Builders welcome

  • Experimenting.
  • Coding.
  • Designing.
  • Tinkering.
  • Teaching others.

Respect the space and people

  • Everyone gets basic respect.
  • Differences of opinion are fine.
  • Personal attacks are not.
  • Physical space and equipment are treated with care.

Self-direction is encouraged

  • Take initiative.
  • Manage your time.
  • Ask for help when stuck.
  • Do not wait to be spoon-fed.

The Node vibe check

  • Am I curious?
  • Am I willing to try and fail?
  • Do I treat others with respect?
  • Do I want to build, not just consume?

If yes, welcome. If not, Node is probably not your place, and that is okay.
